How We Create Impact

Funding Education for the Trades

We currently award scholarships of up to $2,000 to students pursuing vocational and technical training in high-demand fields such as automotive repair, HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, welding, cosmetology, LVN programs, and other essential skilled trades. As the foundation grows, we plan to expand eligible programs and opportunities to reach even more students.

Partnering with Local Businesses

We actively collaborate with parts suppliers, service companies, and trade organizations to expand funding and create pathways for apprenticeships and job placement.

Restoring Pride in the Trades

By supporting trade careers, we restore pride in the hands-on work that keeps our communities strong and moving forward.

Leading by Example

The S.I.M.S. Scholarship Foundation is powered by the generosity of both local and national supporters who believe in building a skilled future through the trades. While founders Bradley and Billie Sims contribute personally from their own business earnings, the program is also sustained by a growing community of sponsors and partners who share our mission of giving back and creating real opportunities. We are always seeking businesses and companies willing to join us through sponsorships and recurring donations, helping us expand our impact year after year. Together, we are funding education, vocational training, and career pathways — inspiring others to invest in the next generation of skilled professionals.

More Than Scholarships — Building a Skilled Future

The SIMS Scholarship Foundation is about more than writing checks — it’s about sparking change. Every scholarship we award is an investment in someone’s potential, a step toward strengthening communities, and a way to show that skilled trades deserve the same respect and opportunities as any other career.

Why It Matters

When you invest in skilled trades, you’re not just changing one life — you’re strengthening entire communities. You’re helping ensure there will always be someone to keep the lights on, fix the AC, repair the brakes, or weld the foundation of what keeps our world running.
