The S.I.M.S. Scholarship Foundation was founded by Bradley and Billie Sims, owners of Sims Automotive Repair in Copperas Cove, Texas. Bradley built his business from the ground up with determination, hard work, and the support of those who believed in him. Today, with their shop thriving, Bradley and Billie are paying it forward by helping the next generation succeed in the trades.

Bradley remembers graduating in 1998 and hearing the message that “trades don’t matter” — that college was the only real path to success. Twenty-seven years later, the truth is undeniable: skilled trades are in higher demand than ever. Communities face long waits for essential services, not because the work isn’t there, but because there aren’t enough trained professionals to meet the need.
A future where every motivated young person can access the training, resources, and confidence they need to thrive in essential fields like automotive repair, HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, welding, and more.
